A PROGRAM FOR YOUTH |

Youth Advisory Board |
The Youth Advisory Board’s Purpose is to work as a team, to provide vision, goals, and direction for the youth ministry. We discuss the program’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. We review resources available to us (the church calendar, the diocesan recommendations/restrictions, the youth surveys both written and face to face, other youth group programs, youth ministry access, etc) to evaluate our program, build upon it, and work to combine efforts where possible. We establish goals as well as strategies and tactics to reach these goals. We ensure the goals set are S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time sensitive).
The goals set center around:
Outreach and Communication.
A quarterly calendar of events.
An approved budget
Our mission statement:
To draw and empower young people into responsible participation in the life, work, and mission of the faith community.
We brainstorm and establish a calendar of events, programs and activities.
The board meets quarterly, and will work together in the interim as volunteers/chaperones, etc. to help facilitate the goals as described. An annual evaluation is sent to the diocese evidencing our growth and commitment to this program.
Meetings are open for all to attend and are detailed on the calendar of events. We hope that you’ll join us.
